The park rangers are always eager and willing to take small parties or large groups very informative
Great piece of history! Tours are once an hour with a max of 8 people each tour. They don't take reservations, so get there early.
Only 8 allowed in the house tour per hour. Makes it impossible for our family of 5 to tour inside the house. Even attempting to send 2 to fill the open last 2 slots of the tour resulted in denial by staff until the next tour an hour later. If there is space available within the very limited tour restrictions, why not fill the slots with I interested visitors? Why not host tours more often?
Truly one of my favorite places.
The volunteers here are fantastic and very knowledgeable. The tour guide was a great story teller, really paints a great picture of the family and area and leaves you wanting to do more research. A really great experience.
Amazing home of Chinese settlers who settled in the area in the gold mining days. Everything was left just as it was in the home after the owners died. One man was a Chinese Doctor and OSU has been studying the herbs and natural medicine.
