Interesting place in the middle of John Day. It almost seems out of place in such a quaint town but we were glad it was there because it seemed to be the only place in town with a diverse enough menu to feed all our appetites. Plus fresh beer!
Loved the food and the service! So glad we went here for dinner tonight. The atmosphere, food, and beer is definitely what we needed after a long drive.
Love their beer!! The food is delicious but a bit pricey for me. I went their all the time when I lived in JD.
This is one place you want to eat when you come to John Day. It had the best atmosphere, food quality and staff of any of the places we visited. It was really comparable to bistros in much more cosmopolitan areas (I'm thinking SFO area, Atlanta, etc), but with a cowboy theme that is genuine. This is, I am told, cowboy country in Oregon. Now get this rope off me. And your horse is standing on my foot!
Wouldn't be surprised if this is the next up and coming Brew house. Their Trail Bender IPA is amazing. Good food as well, and fairly fast service.
